I have used Host Gator for years. I started using them as a complete noob to web anything. There technical support has only gotten better, and there servers have only gotten faster. I have received several "free upgrades" whenever they update their equipment. They are truly top notch.

HostGator was fine until June 2008. Then they suddenly sent out emails saying they had decided to change all passwords they considered insecure with no advance warning of any kind. Then the site they set up to allow people to retrieve their new, random passwords didn't work. And this all happened on a weekend. Then in early July they decided to disable all catch-all email addresses. There has still been no notification of this. This is completely unacceptable for a business site.

HostGator have all I need from a web host! My package costs only $9.94 a month but I am getting tons of features: unlimited databases, subdomains, ftp accounts, e-mails and 5gb space with 75gb bandwidth/mo! The servers are always up and running fast.
